The ITPE Digital Competence Expert Group held its first 2019 meeting on April 18 in Brussels. This session continued the group’s focus on the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF), and also featured activity updates from member representatives as well as group discussions.

On October 25, 2018, the Belgian association of technology companies, Agoria, held its annual event, with a session dedicated to the digital transformation of industry and IT professionalism.
ITPE ‘Digital Competence Expert Group Meeting’ was held on October 24 in Brussels. The session focused on the benefits and challenges related to applying the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) in practice, as well as the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme for developing projects related to IT professionalism. As a follow-up to the last ITPE meeting in June, an update about the ongoing TC428 projects was also presented.
ITPE hosted a meeting in Brussels on 5 June for those who have previously been involved in CEN's Workshop on ICT Skills, and who want to become more actively engaged in the topic of IT professionalism.

CEPIS Secretary General, Austėja Trinkūnaitė, presented IT professionalism at an e-CF briefing session in Warsaw, Poland, on 19 February 2018, that was co-organised with the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI).
The ITPE launch event was held in Amsterdam, on 24 November 2016, to inaugurate the new initiative. ITPE was launched to bring together key stakeholders to work together to highlight the urgent need to improve IT professionalism, to ensure that Europe benefits from the digital revolution.

On 11 November 2016, CEPIS and the Hellenic Professional Informatics Society (HePIS) organised a European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) briefing in Athens, Greece, as part of the IT Professionalism Europe (ITPE) series of events on the e-CF.
